Artisty Captured in Vegas

Taking pictures is like weaving a blanket.  For me anyways…lol.  It’s brought great connections in my community, family and blog.  Having the opportunity to photograph friends and friends of friends have brought so many wonderful special gifts.  All emotional.  I love to get to know people better.  I want to know them.  Getting to know what makes them cry, smile and laugh is what it’s all about.  I just love it!   All that mushy gushy stuff, yep..that’s me.

I watched this beautiful family welcome their newest member of their family in the late summer.  There aren’t enough words to describe this little beauty.  And her brother, watch out world…if his beautiful eyes doesn’t take you, his laugh will.

Jime is one of 3 Tattoo Artist I know here in Vegas and let me emphasize on the artistry part.  So make sure to head over to their Facebook Page, like them and check em out.

Thanks to the Litwalks for letting me into their home and capture their absolutely warm, super sweet family.  Hoping I don’t spoil any Christmas Card pics, I’ll only be sharing a small few…

Pure Baby: Miss Millie

I love love love the squishiness of little newborns.  It’s been a long 5 .5 long years ago that I had a little one in my arms….Miss Millie provided some much needed “Baby” fix for me.  At 10 weeks and one day she is the cutest little 8 lbs ever!

I could shoot newborns all the time and never get enough.  So precious and innocent!  I need more babies to shoot because I loved it so.

There’s something so special about capturing the first few days & weeks of a newborns life.  I feel so blessed to have been able to capture Miss Millie’s.  Thanks guys for letting me be apart of her legacy.  Until next time!

I was even able to snag one of big sis.  I truly wanted to grab one of all three kiddos together as a surprise to mama but her little guy wasn’t feeling well.  So…..this one is a little gift to mama:

I love it when friends want me to take their photos.  It means so much to me to not only capture my kiddos and their growth but to able to do it for the ones that are special {or becoming special} to you…it’s an honor.

What a pleasure it was photographing this little guy. The best temperament you’ve ever seen. No fussing just pure smiles, giggles and “I’m not sure what your doing but go right ahead” looks.  It was cool!  Here are a few of little “L’s” 9 month pictures.

Milestone - 9mo

The two thing I love most about photography is “the moment”  The moment to see a frame in time that you’ll never see again. And creating relationships!  Life couldn’t be sweeter.

I was so pleased to get to snap photos of this adorable duo!  What an honor to have someone request you take photos of them.  And cutie pies they are.  Here’s a sneak peak of their photos.  What do you think?

My Mother’s Day Present

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUpon

My Babies! I can breathe there breath in the morning and know which child is snuggling me. I can hear their laughs on the phone and know exactly what’s tickling them. When they’re running in the grass I know which one will start to cry first because the wind is blowing the wrong way.  My babies.  Born 1 minute apart and are so different but everything alike.

Anytime is a great time to snap a picture when they are giggling, tickling each other and just plain being silly.

Hoping everyone had a blessed Mother’s Day {for all women}

Little Mama: Love & Life

Back when I had the twins almost 5 years ago, I had no camera.  Well, I had a very archaic Olympus Optical C3000Z.  If you aren’t sure what or who that is..let me show you:

I took this picture with this camera. I should also add, this digital camera was so old, when placed on high resolution it could only hold 7 pictures.  You can only imagine how many times I would need to shoot, download and shoot again in a day.  And I can confirm, I had no idea what I was doing other than trying to capture my babies.  And this precious angel only weighed in at 3 lb 11 oz. I wanted…no…I needed to capture it all!  Everything and couldn’t. But I made do and am so glad I did.

This could have been a great shot! that’s all I kept thinking about if I had the right lens. Shaky Hand because of low light. How do I remedy this? Well once it’s blurry it’s blurry. Sharpening it will only make it look crisp in areas it should not be…i.e. absolutely crazy picture. So I tried to enhance in areas that I thought were would draw you away from the flaws {blurry eyes} I used a action to antique some of the color but keep it natural.

Do you see another way to enhance my mistakes besides shooting with a tripod and having the right lens?…LOL
