If you live in Las Vegas and happen to be in need {I think we all are} of a top notch Chef, I just happen to have found one. Chef Kas!  This East coast raised Chef has a ton to share about healthy eating and doing it to fit your lifestyle.  Since starting Vegas Bloggers, we’ve had a great time meeting tons of local businesses, schools, attending events and just Las Vegas as a whole {and it’s only been a month}.  This great city offers tons of great resources and having a knowledgeable, fun, reliable and just darn right awesome Chef on hand is a good find to have.

I love his philosophy that he shared at our workshop,

“Food should not only look good & smell good but it should make you feel good after you eat it.” ~ Chef Kas

Awesomeness right!  This Social Media Savvy Chef has enough energy to keep any hungry crew entertained, well fed and feeling good throughout the whole process.  If you would like to learn more about Chef Kas, you can check him out on his website: http://www.customcuisinelv.com/

However, like I said…this Chef is social media savvy so make sure to give him a tweet or two.  Or maybe a comment on his Facebook wall and tell him Lala sent you!

Here’s just a taste of his yummy yummy dish  he prepared for us:

We’re almost there!!

I’m so excited to see the progress on the back end of my website efforts.  It’s great to know that I’ve done the work, I know how to fix it {because I’m sure there will be instances} and learning flash coding has truly help my CSS & HTML coding skills.  I’m still not an expert.  By any means! There are plenty of online tutorials, blog post and online seminars that have given me the tools that I’ve need over the past few months to set up my website {soon to come}  and enhance my photography skills.
While in the process of setting up my website, getting my client files in order, checking out new lenses, blogging full-time over at The Deal Fanatic and all that entails, I’ve photographed my little sweet pea because she loves it so.  My son has his days where he loves it but for the most part what interest him is digging trenches in my perfectly flat backyard and jumping off the highest point of the backyard and giving me more grey hair than I already have.

I’m focusing on grabbing more photos I LOVE and can’t wait to share with you!….. so that’s my focus over the next couple weeks/months.  My babies always make great models but I don’t want to burn them out this early :-)  Being 5 and all.  I’ve scheduled a few family shoots for Christmas,  Photowalks with fellow BlogWorld and New Media Expo 2010 Attendees and children milestone shoots.

Remember to follow me on twitter,  Facebook or Flickr because I’m always up to something and sharing it is just second nature.

Oh by the way….I made that hair flower for my baby girl.  I love making them now since my BFF turned me onto how.  Hopefully I’ll have a chance to give a quick tutorial on how to make them because it’s super easy and they make great additions to pictures.  Being able to sit still and quietly do a task is joyful to me.  I treasure any opportunity I can be still.  What are you guys up to?

Type-A Mom Conference~I won I won!!

I still can’t believe it. I said to my husband on last Friday evening when he came home, “I love you honey but I must attend this twitter party that get a sponsor is hosting.”  He looked at me and pretended not to hear. When 6pm hit I proceded to bring my dinner to the computer {only a few feet away} and started up the ole’ Tweet Chat {hash Tag #Getasponsor}. The party was 1 hour and 30 minutes {of course right around the time our bumpkins eat dinner and then go to bed} But while it was going on, the time flew by.

I think because I had already programmed my evening and how it was going to happen.  Kids were on auto pilot with Daddy.  I was in the Zone.  My Lenz Love blog oozes my true self.  So, every answer to their questions just flowed like water from a faucet.  Without thought or caution.  It felt so good & real.  I love this blog!!!  I love Photography and I hope that was noticed throughout the party.  Apparently it was because I won!  I won two fabulous prizes just for being me. A won a gorgeous picture by incourage hand crafted for me {or at least I want to think so..LOL}….AND…..are you ready for this?

  • A full conference pass to the Type-A Mom Conference in Ashville, North Carolina for 3 full days, September 24-26, 2010.

Insert from get a sponsor site:

The conference will feature some of the most influential, admired and insightful mom bloggers talking about topics like power social networking, branding, blogging, finding your voice, and turning your passion for blogging into a real paycheck.

How absolutely fabulous is that!!!  But this is when the work begins for me.  There are other incidentals that must be taken care of, i.e. hotel, airfare, etc.. So I will be looking to get a sponsor because there would nothing sweeter than to attend a conference and to be able to represent the brand(s) I love.  I have a few in mind ;-)

However, the thing is…I’m picky.  I am pretty specific about the type of company I would love to represent.  For me getting a sponsor goes beyond someone paying for airfare.  It truly is a relationship of two like-minded individuals that see the same vision.  This is what I’ll be looking for.  Photography is not just a hobby for me.  I see the image in real-time framed in my mind and try to capture it.

Since I recently attended Bloggy boot Camp in Phoenix Arizona, I understand the value and knowledge attending one of these type of conferences can bring to both moms and businesses.  If you are interested in creating a working relationship with me and Photography being the focus please contact me.

This is so fitting for me.  A Love affair workshop!  I have this thing called a Love affair.  A love of my photography, a love of cupcakes, my family & deals.  I love it all and yes it does feel sometimes like I’m cheating on one with the other.

How to figure out how to do it all…how to have a love affair with everything and most importantly with life. Don’t cheat yourself out of life beyond business. You’re going to love life more deeply and love photography and business all over again.

I adore my photography blog and want to truly hone in on this craft and joy that I have discovered. Wound’t you love all the information I would be able to bring back and share with you all??

Check out http://www.loveaffairworkshop.com! They’re giving away prizes & a seat to their workshop on the blog this week! Go enter to win!
